RAHAT, the ICMR-funded Smart Village Initiative, aims to improve rural India's access to quality primary healthcare through integrated digital health solutions. In collaboration with medical institutions, rural health centers, and local communities, it will strengthen healthcare access and delivery, build research capacity in medical colleges, leverage digital advancements, train healthcare professionals via a hybrid learning model. The Centre for Chronic Disease Control will contribute by assessing the impact of digital health interventions and predicting individual health outcomes.

Aims to enhance research capacity in government and private medical colleges through specialized training for students, doctors, and healthcare staff. Using advanced Learning Management Systems, programs cover research methods, health systems, implementation science, digital health and environmental health and sustainability.Â

Focus to integrate assisted telemedicine with AI-powered tools, including electronic clinical decision support systems and digital health surveillance. Trained professionals will use advanced devices like Kardioscreen (portable ECG), point-of-care testing devices, and digital stethoscopes for patient consultations.

A comprehensive outreach program will enhance health outcomes, awareness, service utilization, and continuity of care. Patients will receive Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) IDs for digitized health records.
