Environmental Health & Sustainability
Learn how to strengthen clinical decision-making for environmental and climate-driven health challenges.
Overview
This course introduces UG medical students to environmental health and sustainability, focusing on how environmental exposures and climate change affect human health in the Indian context. Learners examine key determinants of health such as WASH, air pollution, food safety, occupational hazards, and climate-related risks.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to assess environmental health risks, interpret epidemiological evidence, and apply preventive strategies in clinical and public health practice using knowledge gained through interactive modules and real-world case studies. They will also be equipped to contribute to advocacy efforts, support policy implementation, and strengthen climate-resilient health systems.
