Indian Council of Medical Research
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is the apex body for the formulation, coordination, and promotion of biomedical research in India. Established in 1911, ICMR is one of the oldest and largest medical research bodies in the world. It operates under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, with the mission to promote and conduct medical research of national importance.

Centre for Advanced Research (CAR)
Funded by the ICMR, these Centres are dedicated to tackling pivotal healthcare challenges through decisive research initiatives aimed at providing valuable insights and effective solutions. With a primary objective to advance impactful and relevant research in priority areas, the RAHAT program focuses on non-communicable diseases, and antenatal care. The CAR will be housed in the CCDC, New Delhi.
